Day 2 in the Mekong took us out of the coconut groves and into the rice paddies and fruit orchards. The population changed as well--more Khmer people live here. And they were very friendly. The "road" continued to be narrow--more like a concrete path--with lots of bikes and motorbikes passing as well as people on foot, including many children. Everyone is very friendly. Lots of smiles and "hellos." Today we felt like we were celebrities everywhere we went.
